Come make soap with us at Sparrow Soaps in Putnam, Connecticut! Our hands-on soap making classes use a simple “learn, see, do” approach. We’ll walk you through the cold-process soap making process, demonstrate each step, and then help you create your very own batch of handmade soap. No experience needed, just come ready to learn, create and have some fun!

Private soap making classes are held at Sparrow Soaps in Putnam, Connecticut at 350 Kennedy Drive.
Book your own private class for cold process soap making with us! This is a great way to get extra one on one instruction and also learn special techniques. Maybe you would like to learn to create all natural soap for your family and friends. You might even have dreams to open your own soap company…..you can do it!
In this fun workshop, you will be making your own "loaf" of soap which is approximately 10 bars (value $70+) that you take home. You also get to choose from a variety of scents for your creation.
Class fee includes the wooden soap mold with removable liner and two soap cutters. (valued at $30). You also will receive our booklet packed with recipes, helpful links and trouble shooting resources. To keep everyone safe and for insurance liability reasons, classes are designed for 12 and up. Disposable gloves and safety googles are available, but feel free to bring your own if you would like.
We have discounted prices with larger groups, so grab a few friends and make this a fun event. Our flexible schedule allows us you to choose morning, afternoon or evening time slots.

We now have our soap making booklet available for download that gives you the basic instructions for cold process soap making. This is NOT a physical booklet, it is an e-file that you download and can print out. After checking out, you will receive an email containing a download link. The link expires 24 hours after your purchase.
Included in this five page booklet is an easy starter recipe, helpful links for supplies and trouble shooting information. After you master the basic recipe, this will open doors for you to get creative with different scents, colors, etc.
