The Least of These

This is Padme. She is one of the oldest gals in our farm family. She has lost most of her teeth which causes issues with her remaining molars. She has trouble keeping weight on, and despite loving being a mama, she is no longer able to have any more of her own. She always loves to be with the babies and has often been a surrogate mama nursing any kids that have been rejected by their own mama. We have had health scares with her requiring extra testing and medications (and high vet bills). She has issues with digestion which causes her to constantly have extra “foam” around her cheeks. Sometimes she just looks a mess!

Most folks/farmers would consider her an expense that isn’t giving back and decide to rehome her and/or put her down. That’s not our mindset or even a consideration with us. We believe that God has entrusted us with each and every soul here. EVERY one is just as important as the others. So thankful that God didn’t want to discard *me* when I was ragged, sinful and not producing any good fruit. He certainly had every right. I was a complete mess. I required His extra protection and efforts even when I had no idea. I know I kept those angels on their toes! God didn’t give up on me and had plans for me that I never dreamed possible. He has plans for everyone, no matter what condition we are in. 🙏🏻

Peace and love

Then the King will say, ‘I’m telling the solemn truth: Whenever you did one of these things to someone overlooked or ignored, that was me—you did it to me.’
